Mini Punch Grafting

Vitiligo is a chronic skin disorder that causes areas of skin to lose colour. It presents as depigmented (white) patches. Exposed body sites, such as the face, elbows, knees, hands and feet, are often involved, resulting in significant cosmetic concerns. Vitiligo is usually treated with creams and tablets, or by phototherapy. Vitiligo may fail to improve or clear with these treatments. Surgical treatment options can be considered in patients with stable vitiligo.

Non cultured epidermal cell suspension treatment

Epidermal cell suspensions are being increasingly used in the surgical management of vitiligo. The procedure suffers from several drawbacks such as high cost of the procedure, difficulty of procuring the reagents etc. We hereby describe modifications which allow the use of cheaper, more commonly available alternatives.

Microblading and Camouflage

Microblading and Camouflage

Microblading is a form of cosmetic tattooing, also know as semi-permanent makeup, or micro-pigmentation. Small crisp strokes are administered into the skin by tiny sterile needles used to implant pigment into the dermis skin layer, giving the illusion of 3D eyebrow hairs. Microblading produces a finer line than a tattoo machine, leaving a more natural hair like appearance. All materials used for my clients procedure's are sterile and disposable.

Camouflage is a technique used to cover up old faded tattoos with a skin tone-like finish camouflaging the area by hiding the old tattoo. This technique can only be administered by machine and requires a consultation. Depending on the severity of the old tattoo, in some cases laser tattoo removal may be required before camouflaging can be administered.

When cosmetic tattoos end up with a less than desirable color, color correction offers a solution to neutralize the tattoo and correct the color. Red tends to be the color that will stay in the skin the longest, in other cases orange, pink-purple or blue can result from the body retaining these tones the longest. During your consultation I will custom mix a color based on your root and brow hair color and skin tone to correct the old tattoo and provide you with a natural looking eyebrow.
